§ 34.06  DRESS CODE AND RULES OF DECORUM FOR ATTENDEES AT COUNTY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
   (A)   To maintain the dignity and decorum of the LaPorte County Council meetings and so as not to disrupt said meetings, no person shall be allowed to attend and/or address the County Council unless they follow the dress code and rules of decorum listed in division (B) of this section.
   (B)   The County Council hereby establishes a dress code and rules of decorum which shall read as follows:
      (1)   All persons who enter the County Council Chambers to attend Council meetings shall dress appropriately. Persons wearing inappropriate attire shall be removed from public council chambers as more fully set forth below. Examples of inappropriate attire include but are not limited to: miniskirts, pants that are tattered or have holes in them, hats, sunglasses, do-rags, halter tops, bare midriffs, lewd clothing, bathing suits, clothing with offensive, vulgar, racist, gang related, or obscene language and/or pictures, or tank tops. Shirt and shoes are required.
      (2)   Cellular phones, pagers, other communication devices, tablets, laptops, and wearable technology including but not limited to: smart watches, and Google Glass, must be on silent mode so as not to disrupt proceedings.
      (3)   No food and/or drinks are permitted in council chambers.
      (4)   Violators of the dress code and decorum will not be permitted in the council chambers. If attendance is for a public meeting, violators of the dress code will be able to stand in the ante-chamber where they can observe and hear the proceedings.
      (5)   Persons who disrupt a public meeting may be removed consistent with applicable laws and statutes.
