§ 34.16  NORTHWESTERN INDIANA REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION.
   (A)   The County Board of Commissioners reaffirms that it has joined the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) as provided for in enabling state legislation that it now establishes the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission as the Northwestern Indiana Economic Development District Board.
   (B)   The Board of Commissioners will support the economic development program of the district.
   (C)   The County Board of Commissioners has requested that the Northwestern Indiana Economic Development District’s overall economic development program be recognized by the Economic Development Administration as the county economic development area’s overall economic development program upon designation of the district by the Economic Development Administration.
   (D)   Until the time that the Northwestern Indiana Economic Development District is designated by the Economic Development Administration, the County Board of Commissioners approves and authorizes submission of the Lake-Porter-LaPorte Counties Joint Overall Economic Development Program as prepared by the (NIRPC) in compliance with requirements of the Economic Development Administration for upgrading the designated economic development area’s overall economic development program.
   (E)   The County Board of Commissioners requested transfer from the Water Quality Management Plan of MACOG to the NIRPC Plan.
