(A) The County Sheriff is directed to establish and maintain a program of public employment of county inmates pursuant to I.C. 11-12-5-1 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time.
(B) The Sheriff shall have the discretion and authority to administer this program of public employment consistent with I.C. 11-12-5-1 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time, and as the Sheriff, at his or her discretion, deems appropriate.
