(A) Authorization of reimbursement. Upon approval of the Superintendent, employees may be granted authorization to be reimbursed for using their private vehicles when the vehicle is essential to the performance of the work required.
(B) Reimbursement rate. Reimbursement for use of privately owned vehicles shall be made at the rate established by the County Council. Reimbursement at this rate shall be considered as payment for the use of the vehicle, insurance, and all other transportation costs.
(C) Repair and maintenance. Vehicles that are driven for the performance of one’s work are driven at the owner’s responsibility.
