§ 33.55  CLOSING OF PARK AREAS AND FACILITIES; EMERGENCIES.
   (A)   Closing of parks due to unusual conditions.  The authority to close park areas and facilities due to unusual conditions is vested with the Superintendent.  In the Superintendent’s absence, on-duty or available staff will assume this responsibility.
   (B)   Clearing of parks due to emergencies. 
      (1)   Any county Parks Department employee may clear a park area or facility if he or she feels there is an immediate danger to the health, welfare, or safety of park visitors, employees, concessionaires, or property. 
      (2)   The employee responsible for clearing park facilities due to emergency conditions will notify the Superintendent as soon as conditions permit.
      (3)    Some examples of emergency situations are:
         (a)   Major civil disorders;
         (b)   Uncontrollable fires;
         (c)   Natural or manmade disasters; or
         (d)   Commission of felony crimes.
