(A) One of the functions of the county Parks and Recreation Department is to provide an environmental education program and support the wise use of natural resources. To support that effort, the Board has adopted a policy addressing recycling and waste reduction practices at its park sites and office.
(B) (1) The Department will purchase recycled materials whenever economically possible.
(2) The Department will develop and implement a plan for recycling aluminum.
(3) The Department will provide infor- mation to the public on recycling and waste reduction at the Luhr Nature Center.
(4) The Department will designate a liaison to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
