1315.02 RESTRICTIONS WITHIN FIRE LIMIT DISTRICTS.
   (a)   All buildings and structures and all additions to existing buildings and structures hereafter erected within fire limit districts shall be of Type 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 4, as defined in Article 4 and regulated by Table 401 and any other applicable provisions of the Ohio Basic Building Code except as permitted in subsection (b) hereof.
   (b)   Buildings and structures, and all additions to existing buildings and structures hereafter erected within fire limit districts may be of Type 2C, 3B and 5A construction as defined in Article 4, and regulated in Tables 401, 501, and any other applicable provisions of the Ohio Building Code when constructed and located in accordance with the requirements of the following Table A:

   Note a. Not less than required by Table 401 of the Ohio Basic Building Code. The exterior wall or barrier shall extend to the height of the building and be so constructed that it will remain structurally in place for the duration of time indicated by the required fire resistance rating. When the exterior wall or barrier is adjacent to a flat roof, it shall be constructed with a parapet as per the requirements of the Ohio Basic Building Code. (Ord. 39-85. Passed 5-20-1985.)
