The variable charges for an industrial user is determined by the greatest amount computed by each of the following formulas:
(1) Cp - (Vc + Vo) Vu
(2) Cs = Vc x Vu + Wo x Vu + Bo x Bu + So x Su
Where:
Cs = Variable charge based on the summation of products using individual unit costs in dollars per quarter.
Cp = Variable charge based on the product of volume and total unit cost in dollars per quarter.
Vu = Volume of sewage from a major industrial user per quarter measured in thousands of cubic feet.
Bu = Amount of BOD5 from a major industrial user per quarter measured in hundreds of pounds.
Su = Amount of suspended solids from a major industrial user per quarter measured in hundreds of pounds.
Vc = Capital charge attributed to 1,000 cubic feet of wastewater = $0.96.
Vo = User (operation and maintenance) charge attributed to 1,000 cubic feet of wastewater = $10.57 plus 105.7 cents per additional 100 cubic feet
Wo = User (operation and maintenance) charge attributed to 1,000 cubic feet of wastewater = $3.30.
Bo = User (operation and maintenance) charge attributed to 100 pounds of BOD5 = $11.50.
So = User (operation and maintenance) charge attributed to pounds of T.S.S. = $14.50.
