(A) The Planning Commission shall consider and make recommendations on all matters affecting zoning and building regulations and land development, drainage concerns and street improvements as provided by law and as may be contained within this code of ordinances or as may be referred to it by the City Council from time to time. All recommendations made by the Planning Commission shall take into consideration the best interest of the city.
(B) The Planning Commission shall carry on city planning activities and recommend such plans for the regulation of future physical development of the city, including land use and building construction.
