§ 21.203 MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR CITY ATTORNEY SERVICES
   (A)   The Mayor shall have the authority to contract and engage on behalf of the city with an attorney to provide legal services and legal advice to the city.
   (B)   The terms of the engagement shall be for a period not longer than two (2) years or until another attorney shall be appointed and qualified. The contract shall be automatically renewed for a period of two (2) years should the Mayor fail to enter into a new contract. The contract shall be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days notice.
   (C)   The attorney shall be a practicing attorney and a member of the Kentucky Bar and shall comply in all respects with the provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes.
