A pipeline company’s property and operations hereunder shall be subject to such regulation by the town as may be reasonably necessary for the protection or benefit of the general public. In this connection, pipeline company shall be subject to, governed by and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, including all ordinances, rules and regulations of the town ,as same may be adopted and amended from time to time.
