Each building to be connected to the sewer main shall be connected via a separate connection. No common services shall be allowed without approval of the City Engineer. In the event that more than one building needs to flow to an existing main in a common pipe, then the connecting pipe from the junction of the two services to the existing main shall conform to all of the requirements of sewer mains, including easements which shall be dedicated to the City after approval. Services 6" or less in size can be connected by approved line taps which do not obstruct any portion of the main. All lines larger than 6" shall be connected directly to manholes. All services shall be sized according to the Uniform Plumbing Code and shall be installed with the oversight and approval of the City’s Building Inspector or Sewer System Manager. When sewers are placed in, or along, street sections, laterals shall be extended to the right-of-way line on both sides of the street prior to street construction.
