2.1.5  Erosion Control.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TCEQ) have regulations restricting the amount of soil and other materials (erosion) that can be carried unintentionally from a project site. Such regulations restrict the amount of erosion materials that can wash onto neighboring property, wash into drainage facilities and/or be dropped by vehicles onto roadways. As such, property owners are required to obtain an erosion control permit by submitting a stormwater pollution protection plan (SWPPP). The permit requires mechanical measures to prevent the various types of erosion pollution.
