Land subject to flooding, as designated in a FEMA 100-year floodplain, shall not be platted for residential occupancy (unless the floodplain is appropriately modified by the applicant), nor shall it be platted for such other uses as may increase danger to health, life or property or aggravate the flood hazard. A Flood Hazard Statement meeting the requirements of the FIA is required on the plat. (See Flood Hazard Block in the appendices.)
Such land within the plat may be set aside for such uses that will not be endangered by periodical or occasional inundation, or that will not produce unsatisfactory living conditions.
