The State and most cities recognize that orderly growth includes the grouping of certain uses in common areas and the buffering from one use to the next. This helps prevent busy, noisy or other objectionable uses from being constructed next to quiet residential areas. It also encourages high use facilities (high traffic, large utility use, etc.) to be grouped where there is access to adequate infrastructure facilities. The City regulations for Zoning are contained in the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Lakeside, latest revision. Zoning is enforced within the City Limits but not in the ETJ.
