§ 110.03  LICENSE STANDARDS FOR THOSE WHO PERFORM ELECTRICAL WORK.
   (A)   All electrical work of any kind or nature performed by any electrical contractor operating within the town limits of the Town of Lakeside, Texas, shall be performed by a licensed electrician.  The electrical contractor supervising any such work shall have and hold a current master’s electrician license and is required to verify that all electrical work done under his or her or its supervision shall be performed by a licensed electrician.  There shall be on the site where electrical work is being performed at all times a person who has at least a journeyman’s electrical license.  No electrician shall be deemed licensed by the Town of Lakeside, Texas, until the Building Official receives a letter of reciprocity from an incorporated town within the State of Texas that the electrician has taken and passed an approved examination entitling the electrician to a license in the other incorporated town and stating the type or degree of license issued.
   (B)   The Building Official of the Town of Lakeside may issue a stop work order and prohibit any further work or activity on a job site if the official finds that electrical work is being performed by an unlicensed person or that no person having at least a journeyman’s license is present at a job site when electrical work is being performed.  In such event, the Building Official may ban the electrical contractor and all employees or agents of the contractor from performing any work in the Town of Lakeside for up to one year and may impose any other penalties as may be allowed by ordinance or codes adopted by the Town of Lakeside.
   (C)   The Town Secretary is instructed to publish this section as provided by law.
   (D)   This section shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication as required by law and it is so ordained.
