(A) (1) The speed limit on FM Road 1886, otherwise known as Confederate Park Road, beginning from the eastern most boundary of the town located at the south or southeast bound service road intersection with State Highway 199, and running approximately 1.76 miles along FM Road 1886, to the western border of the Town of Lakeside shall be 45 mph. All vehicles of any kind or nature traveling along that portion of FM Road 1886 shall not exceed the speed limit set out herein. There shall be excepted from the requirement of speed, emergency vehicles running under emergency conditions and the other exceptions as allowed and set out in state law.
(2) Signs posting the speed limit shall be installed to inform the traveling public of the speed limit in the manner as to give full notice of the speed limit and as may be required by state law.
(3) It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to violate or fail to comply with any provisions hereof, irrespective of whether or not the verbiage of each section hereof contains the specific language that the violation or failure to comply is unlawful and is an offense. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this division (A) or any of the provisions of a permit issued pursuant hereto, or who shall fail to comply with the terms hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, on conviction thereof, be fined in the sum not to exceed $500, or the lesser amount that may be required by state law, and the violation of each separate provision hereof shall be considered a separate offense.
(4) The Town Secretary is here directed and authorized to cause publication of this division (A) as required by law.
(5) This division (A) shall be in full force and effect from and after its publication as required by law, and it is so ordained.
(B) (1) Upon basis of an engineering and traffic investigation heretofore made as authorized by the provisions of Tex. Transportation Code, § 545.353, Uniform Act Regulating Traffic on Highways, the following prima facie speed limits hereafter indicated for vehicles are hereby determined and declared to be reasonable and safe; and the speed limits are hereby fixed at the rate of speed indicated for vehicles traveling upon the named streets and highways, or parts thereof, described as follows.
(a) State Highway 199 (Southwest Frontage Road) Tarrant County. From Station 520+48.5 (east town limits of Lakeside, also being the town limits of Fort Worth) northwesterly 1.081 to Station 577+57.5 (north town limits of Lakeside, being also the town limits of Fort Worth) at 40 mph.
(b) 1. The maximum speed limit on Vanshire Road, east and west, within the limits of the town shall be 25 miles per hour. All vehicles of any kind or nature traveling on Vanshire Road shall not exceed the speed limit set out herein. There shall be excepted from such requirement of speed, emergency vehicles running under emergency conditions and such other exceptions as allowed and set out in state law.
2. Signs posting the speed limit shall be installed to inform the traveling pubic of the speed limit in such manner as to give full notice of the speed limit as may be required by state law.
(c) The maximum speed limit on Lakeridge Road within the limits of the town shall be 25 miles per hour. All vehicles of any kind or nature traveling on Lakeridge Road shall not exceed the speed limit set out herein. There shall be excepted from such requirement of speed, emergency vehicles running under emergency conditions and such other exceptions as allowed and set out in state law.
(d) 1. With the exceptions noted herein below, all streets in the Town of Lakeside shall have a maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour.
2. The maximum speed limit on the following streets within the town limits shall be shown below:
a. Vanshire Road, east and west, shall be 25 miles per hour.
b. Lakeridge Road shall be 25 miles per hour.
(2) It shall be unlawful and an offense for any person to violate or fail to comply with any provisions of this schedule, irrespective of whether or not the verbiage of each section hereof contains the specific language that such violation or failure to comply is unlawful and is an offense. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this schedule or any of the provisions of a permit issued pursuant hereto, or who shall fail to comply with the terms hereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, on conviction thereof, be fined in the sum not to exceed $500, or such lesser amount that may be required by state law, and the violation of each separate provision hereof shall be considered a separate offense.
(3) Whenever construction of a state-maintained highway within the town limits of the Town of Lakeside is begun, and the Texas Department of Transportation establishes speed limits within the construction zones by commission minute order, then the speed limits as are established by the commission minute order are hereby adopted by the Town of Lakeside as the speed limit in the construction zones.
