Remote meters are required on all new construction or remodeling projects. Remote meters and wire will be furnished for the new construction or remodeling, but must be installed by an electrician or plumber. If a remote meter is requested by the owner for an existing meter, the Water Department will furnish and install the remote meter at no charge to the owner. All remote meters are to be located next to the electric meter, unless the electric meter is not located on the residence.
