An alarm system signaling more than five false alarms within the calendar year is presumed to be defective and upon written notice to owner or lessee of the alarm system by the Police Department, the owner or lessee shall have the system inspected and if necessary repaired by a licensed alarm system contractor who shall within ten working days file a written report to the Police Department of the results of its inspection of the system. Failure to complete said inspection and required repairs within the 10- day period shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
