In accordance with the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, Public Act 33 of 2008, as amended, the Village Planning Commission is hereby established, to have the powers and duties provided in that Act and this subchapter. The Village Planning Commission existing on the effective date of this subchapter shall be the Village Planning Commission provided for in this subchapter and its members shall continue to serve with their existing terms continued.
