There is hereby created the Village of Lakemoor Board of Police Commissioners. The Police Commission shall appoint all officers and members of the Police Department, except for the Chief, who is appointed by and may only be terminated and disciplined by the President with the advice and consent of the Village Board of Trustees. The Board shall make all promotions within the Police Department, which shall, whenever practicable, be made from the rank next below that to which the appointment is made. The Board shall also handle all matters related to the discipline and discharge of officers from the Police Department.
