Pursuant to authority granted the village in the Illinois Municipal Code, it is hereby established that there shall be a security deposit required to be paid to the Village Treasurer in the amount of $2,000 for fire hydrant water meter. The deposit will be released at the time of the meter return and deposit return approved by the Director of Public Works. Any damage to Village property while using the meter will be the sole responsibility of the user and the deposit may be used towards the repair costs.
