(A) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to discharge any firearm, cannon, air gun, air rifle, BB or pellet gun, or any gun projecting lead or any missiles, bow and arrow, cross-bow or pointed arrow, except:
(1) In a shooting gallery located in compliance with the village’s Zoning Ordinance, within the municipal limits of the village; or
(2) On a parcel of greater than 25 acres in size.
(B) This section shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his or her duty; nor to any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending person or property.
