(A) Criteria.
(1) Overnight parking of vehicles is permitted on specified streets when the vehicle is under the gross weight rating of under 8,000 pounds and not exceeding 20 feet in length. Recreational vehicles, boats, personal watercraft, trailers, all- terrain vehicles, off-highway motorcycles and inoperable vehicles are not eligible for overnight parking under this part. Even though a motor vehicle may not qualify for an overnight parking under this part, the village may nevertheless issue an overnight parking permit for a motor vehicle owned by and issued to an employee of a federal, state, or local governmental agency for their use. Overnight parking is not allowed for any commercial vehicles.
(2) No vehicle of any type being used for the purpose of transporting any volatile, toxic, gaseous, explosive or flammable material shall be parked or left unattended on any public street or public right-of-way for any period of time, except while being actively loaded or unloaded, or while such vehicle is being used in connection with any work or service being performed within the immediate area.
(3) No long-term parking is allowed on any village street. Vehicles must be moved within 72 hours.
(4) There shall be no parking on any village streets after a snowfall of more than two inches or more or within 12 hours of snowfall.
(B) Signage. Signs shall be posted on streets throughout the village advising of the existence of on-street parking regulations. The location placement or visibility of said signs in the village shall have no bearing upon enforcement of this section.
(C) No parking areas.

(D) Penalties.
(1) Any person who shall violate any provision of this section is subject to a fine of $50 per day.
(2) A motor vehicle found to be parked in violation of this section is immediately subject to towing at the direction of the Police Department. The owner of said motor vehicle shall be responsible for any towing and/or storage charges related thereto, said costs being in addition to any fines or penalties which may be imposed on the owner of the vehicle under this section.
