For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
AGREEMENT. The current agreement between the village and village hauler that has been authorized by the Board of Trustees.
ADMINISTRATOR. The Village President or his or her designee.
APPLIANCES. Including, but not limited to, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, room air conditioners, freezers and water heaters.
BIN. Approved containers as outlined in this agreement.
CURBSIDE. Off the street and highway pavement and within five feet thereof.
DWELLING UNIT. A single-family attached and detached residence and duplex.
RECYCLABLE MATERIALS. Aluminum and tin cans, plastic H.D.P.E. No. 2 jugs and P.E.T. soda containers, newspaper, glass bottles/jugs or other materials specified by the Administrator.
REFUSE. All household garbage, rubbish and kitchen wastes such as discarded food or food residues and paper used for wrapping the same, books, boxes, furniture and other large household items (limited to one item per household per week and excepting appliances, defined above, and home remodeling and repair construction materials).
STOP. Each dwelling unit shall be considered a STOP for the purpose of defining the extent of the collection service to be provided, and of determining the amount of materials collected (refuse and recyclable material).
VILLAGE’S OWN FACILITIES. The Village Hall and any other village buildings that may be obtained or constructed in the future.
