§ 2.02 ELECTION, TERM AND POWERS.
   (A)   The members of the Village Board shall be elected and serve for a four-year term, and until their successors are elected and qualified, as provided by law. The Village Board shall be the legislative department of the municipal government, and shall perform such duties and have such powers as provided by law and by ordinance.
   (B)   The terms of the members of the Village Board elected at the April election shall begin at the first meeting in May following their election. If official election results are not available at the first meeting in May, the term of office shall begin at the first regular or special meeting following receipt of the election results.
   (C)   Commencing with the municipal officers election in April, 2013, any person elected to serve as Trustee may serve a maximum of three full, consecutive terms as a Trustee. This term limit shall be applicable prospectively to those persons elected to the office of trustee commencing with the election in April, 2013, and shall apply thereafter. Commencing with the municipal officers election in April, 2013, any person elected to serve as President may serve a maximum of three full, consecutive terms as President.
