The duration of any development agreement entered into by and between the city and any person pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall not exceed five years. However, the term of any development agreement may be extended by mutual consent of the City Commission of the city and any party thereto subject to a public hearing held in accordance with the provisions of § 159.02 hereof, for a period not to exceed two years.
