(A) It shall be unlawful to operate any motorized vehicle, except for maintenance equipment authorized by the Public Works Director, upon any public bicycle trail, hiking trail, beach or city park within the limits of the city.
(B) The use of snowmobiles will be permitted on the public bicycle/hiking trail east of CSAH 18 between the November 1 of each year and April 1 of the next year, inclusive, provided that the trail is snow-covered. The period of time during which snowmobiles may be used on the east trail may be increased or decreased by action of the City Council published in the official newspaper of the city designating the inclusive dates when the use of snowmobiles shall be permitted on the east trail. The City Council may rescind these permissions if it is determined that these provisions do not comply with DNR requirements.
