§ 8.12.100 FALSE ALARM—REPEATED.
   A.   In accordance with Chapter 3.20 of this Code, no fee shall be assessed for the first 3 false security alarms at the same location responded to by the Police Department during each calendar year. Thereafter, fees shall be assessed against the owner for each false security alarm responded to by the Police Department at the same location during the calendar year.
   B.   Should any fee assessed pursuant to this chapter remain unpaid in excess of 30 days from the date the charge is billed, a collection fee as specified in Chapter 3.20 of this Code may be assessed and shall be payable by the owner of the premises in addition to the original fee. The owner shall also be responsible for any legal fees or costs incurred by the city to enforce this chapter. Fees that become delinquent may be referred to a collection agency for collection, or the city may pursue any other legal remedies available.
