A cease and desist order shall be issued if the Administrative Services Director or designee determines that a person is conducting business without the required business license. Notification will be provided either in person or by certified mail. When a cease and desist order is issued, all business activities must cease immediately until such time as the licensing required by this chapter has been secured. It is unlawful and a violation of this code for any person to engage in any business within the city when a cease and desist order has been issued and business may not commence until the cease and desist order has been lifted by the Administrative Services Director or designee.
