§ 9.30.040 MEASUREMENT CRITERIA.
   A.   For the purpose of enforcement of the provisions of this section, noise level shall be measured on the a-weighted scale, or c-weighted scale where applicable, with a sound level meter. The meter shall be set for slow response speed, except that for impulse noises or rapidly varying sound levels, fast response speed may be used. Prior to measurement, the meter shall be verified, and adjusted according to the manufacturer's specifications by means of either an internal or external acoustical calibrator.
   B.   The measurement of noise levels shall be taken from the affected property as deemed most appropriate by the responding officer. The measured noise levels are based on the noise zone which is the source of the noise.
