§ 9.30.030 EXEMPTIONS.
   The following uses and activities shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter:
   A.   Air-conditioning, pool and spa equipment when it is functioning in accord with manufacturer's specifications and is in proper operating condition;
   B.   Lawn maintenance equipment when it is functioning in accord with manufacturer's specifications and with all mufflers and noise-reducing equipment in use and in proper operating condition;
   C.   Non-amplified noises resulting from the activities such as those planned for school, governmental or community groups or duly authorized by such groups;
   D.   Noise of safety signals, warning and alarm devices, generators used in times of emergency, emergency generators, storm warning sirens, emergency pressure relief valves or horns and the authorized testing of such equipment;
   E.   Noise resulting from any authorized emergency vehicle when responding to an emergency call or acting in time of emergency;
   F.   Noise resulting from emergency work as defined in § 9.30.020F.;
   G.   Noise resulting from maintenance and/or construction activities performed by any government agency or for any government agency;
   H.   Church chimes and bells;
   I.   Organized sporting events;
   J.   Public or utility owned or operated stationary mechanical equipment so long as such equipment is properly functioning pursuant to manufacturer's specifications;
   K.   Road and street noise generated from the normal operation of traffic except as regulated herein;
   L.   Special events permitted under Chapter 9.20;
   M.   Noise resulting from activities permitted pursuant to a conditional use permit;
   N.   Noise resulting from animals, including but not limited to permitted animal boarding facilities, animal shelters, and veterinarian facilities;
   O.   Any activity to the extent regulation thereof has been preempted by state or federal law; and
   P.   The Lake Havasu Municipal Airport.
