§ 72.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   BICYCLE. A device propelled by human power upon which a person may ride having two tandem wheels either of which is over 14 inches in diameter, or any device generally recognized as a bicycle though equipped with two front or two rear wheels or a unicycle.
   MOPED. A motor vehicle (motor-driven cycle) having two wheels in a tandem arrangement, with pedals to permit propulsion by human power, with a motor with a displacement of no more than 50 cubic centimeters, which produces no more than two h.p. and which is not capable of propelling the moped at a speed greater than 30 mph on level ground, and with a power drive system that functions directly or automatically without clutching or shifting by the operator after the drive system is engaged.
   SKATEBOARD. A single platform mounted on wheels which is propelled solely by human power and which has no mechanism or other device with which to steer or to control the movement or direction of the platform.
