§ 70.01 USE OF ENGINE-RETARDING BRAKES.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any truck to intentionally use an engine retarding brake on any public highway, street, parking lot or alley within the corporate limits of the city, except in an emergency. Appropriate signs shall be erected at highway entrances to the city accordingly.
   (B)   ENGINE RETARDING BRAKE, for the purposes of this section, shall mean a dynamic brake, Jake brake, Jacob’s brake, C-brake, Peccar brake or other similar engine retarding brake system which alters the normal compression of the engine and subsequently releases the compression causing abnormal or excess noise from the engine.
