§ 50.02 INSPECTION, TIME TO CORRECT.
The City Council may by separate action determine an appropriate method of inspection and verification that any new or existing construction shall not be in violation of this chapter to include ongoing inspections at such times and upon reasonable notice to the landowner or occupant of a structure. Any violation of this chapter shall result in a written warning and notice to comply to the offending landowner or occupant as the case may be. The warning may be achieved by personal service or by United States mail to the owner of the subject real estate or to the occupant of the subject real estate or both. The occupant shall have a reasonable time to correct the deficiency taking into consideration the climactic conditions which exist at the time the violation is discovered. Failure to comply with the order to correct the violation shall result in an ongoing violation of this chapter for which no further warning shall be required to be issued but a citation may be used by the Police Department.
