Persons appointed to a board or commission shall forfeit the position for the following reasons:
(A) If, during the time of appointment to a board or commission, any member fails to maintain eligibility pursuant to the above requirements, they shall immediately resign from the board or commission. If no resignation is received, the City Council shall declare the position vacant and appoint a replacement; or
(B) If a board member or commission member cannot attend regular monthly meetings, an excused absence must be obtained. If more than three unexcused absences occur in a 12-month period, the board member or commission member position shall be deemed vacant and the City Council shall appoint a replacement.
