The purpose of this chapter shall be:
(A) To protect and provide for the public health, safety, and general welfare;
(B) To guide the future growth and development in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan and related policies;
(C) To provide for the safety, comfort, and soundness of the built environment and related open spaces;
(D) To guide public and private policy and action in order to provide for adequate and efficient transportation, water, sewerage, schools, parks, and other public facilities;
(E) To protect the compatibility, character, economic stability and orderliness of all development through reasonable design standards; and
(F) To conserve natural resources such as woodlands, farmlands, open spaces, and any other feature of extraordinary natural beauty both during and after development.
