The Board of Fire Trustees of the Lake Ridge Fire Protection District shall have the powers and duties specified in I.C. 36-8-11-15(1) through 36-8-11-15(23). Powers granted by the chapter may be used only to accomplish the purpose or purposes as stated in this chapter establishing this District. However, an act of the Board necessary and proper to accomplish the purposes for which the District is established is not invalid because it incidentally accomplishes a purpose other than one for which the District is established.
