(A) There is hereby established a fee schedule for use of the facilities of the Lake County Fairgrounds (LCFG).
(B) For the purpose of this fee schedule, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
(1) TYPE 1. An Indiana not- for-profit corporation created by action of the Indiana Secretary of State, or a non-Indiana not- for-profit corporation that has been registered with the Indiana Secretary of State. The existence of this type of organization can be verified by checking the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State on the internet at www.in.gov/sos/.
(2) TYPE 2. An organization exempt from Federal Income Tax under 501(c) whose existence can be checked by verification of its designation through the Internal Revenue Service, and who has the type of designation on Appendix A, Exempt Organization Reference Chart, which is attached to Ordinance 1411A and incorporated by reference as if appearing in total and made a part hereof.
(3) TYPE 3. The City of Crown Point, or any of its affiliated government agencies, Lake County Agricultural Society, South Lake County Agricultural Historical Society, because these units provide reciprocal services to the Lake County Fairgrounds.
(4) TYPE 4. An organization that is a county level government body that is funded by and through the Lake County Council that controls the budget of this body.
(5) TYPE 5. Any person, corporation, partnership, organization, association, or any other affiliation that does not meet the requirements of Type l , Type 2, Type 3 or Type 4.
(6) A LAKE COUNTY RESIDENT is a Type 1, Type 2, or Type 4 entity that has an office in Lake County, resides in Lake County, has a service area that encompasses Lake County, or owns real or personal property located within Lake County. This requirement can be verified through either an Indiana operator's license, voter registration card, or Lake County tax records.
(7) A NON-LAKE COUNTY RESIDENT is a Type 1, Time 2, or Type 4 entity whose location in Lake County can be verified through an Indiana operator's license, voter registration card, or Lake County tax records.
(C) Type 3 and Type 4 shall be permitted to utilize the Lake County Fairgrounds at no fee.
(D) The following daily fee and set-up rates shall be paid per day for the use of the facilities at the Lake County Fairgrounds, beginning January 1, 2019:

(E) Amenities. The following rates for additional amenities which must be approved separately by the Fair Ground Superintendent are hereby established:

A security deposit of $200 per building is required. Additional buildings $100 each. (Deposits are refundable upon inspection/Superintendent's discretion.) All users are required to return buildings to "moved in condition". A late fee of 10% of rental fee will be assessed if payment in full is not received 30 days prior to date of event. Events scheduled within 30 days of event are to be paid in full at the time reservation is made. A $20 fee will be assessed for date/reservation changes. **Arrangements for special electrical hookups must be made through the Superintendent’s office for a qualified electrician at lessee's expense. Events charging admission either electronically/digitally or in person shall pay an additional fee within 30 days of the event. Door fee: $0.50 per person; Gate fee: $1.00 per person. | |
(F) All renters/vendors must acknowledge and execute the lease of space and rental rules of the Lake County Fairgrounds contained in Appendix B.
