§ 31.050 BOARD PROVISIONS.
   (A)   Establishment. The County of Lake has been designated a local workforce investment area pursuant to § 116 of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (Pub. L. No. 105-220). The Lake County Workforce Investment Board is established and replaces the Lake County Private Industry Council.
   (B)   State law. The Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (Pub. L. No. 105-220) provides that the Workforce Investment Board will set policy for the local workforce investment area.
   (C)   Operation. The Workforce Investment Board shall operate in compliance with the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, or any subsequent amendment or recodification of such Act.
   (D)   Membership. The County Board Chair shall appoint members of the Lake County Workforce Investment Board per WIA Section 117(c)(1)(A). All appointed members serve at the pleasure of the County Board Chair who shall retain the power to appoint members on his own recommendation.
   (E)   Bylaws. The Workforce Investment Board shall maintain bylaws regulating its operation consistent with the provisions and requirements of the Workforce Investment Act and the bylaws approved by the County Board at the creation of the Workforce Investment Board. Amendments shall not be made to any provisions applicable to the county or the powers of the County Board chair.
