§ 72.42 ASSOCIATION FIELD REVIEW.
   (A)   The Illinois Snowmobile Act allows the use of public road rights-of-way by snowmobiles, without signing, in accordance with the standards and requirements of the Act. The association shall undertake a field review prior to making an application.
   (B)   The association’s field review is intended to meet the following purposes:
      (1)   The field review is to enable an association, acting by and through its coordinator, to determine if the association will choose to place, and where to place, uniform snowmobile signs in accordance with the Uniform Snowmobile Signing Handbook on the particular connecting sections and cross-connections. The association, acting by and through its coordinator, shall determine if the safety of snowmobilers that may use the right-of-way will be enhanced by the Snowmobile Signing Accommodation; and
      (2)   The association, acting by and through its coordinator, is required to include any warning of any condition, use, structure, or activity on the right- of-way as it may determine that may be needed to be signed with uniform snowmobile signs. Included shall be all locations that require operation of snowmobiles within ten feet of the roadway to avoid obstructions or hazardous terrain.
