(A) As part of its electric vehicle pilot program in which a study of the economic, environmental and employee benefits of using all-electric vehicles is being conducted, the county is installing three charging stations to be used by staff as well as visitors and may, in the future, install additional electric vehicle charging stations at other county parking lots and facilities.
(B) Pursuant to 55 ILCS 5/5-11004, the county is empowered to charge a reasonable rate for the use of its parking facilities.
(C) The County Board authorizes that a reasonable fee be charged for the use of electric vehicle charging stations located on county property.
(D) This section sets such fee at $.00 per kilowatt hour and may be periodically amended by County Board resolution.
