§ 173.08 PROCEDURE WHEN INFECTION IS SUSPECTED.
   (A)   General. When the Health Officer has reasonable cause to suspect possible disease transmission from a food service facility employee, the Health Officer may obtain a health history of the suspected employee, make any other necessary investigation, and take appropriate action.
   (B)   Remedies. The Health Officer may require any or all of the following measures in this division.
      (1)   Employee. The Health Officer may require the immediate exclusion of the employee from the food service facility.
      (2)   Suspension of permit. The Health Officer may require the immediate suspension of the food service facility permit until the Health Officer has determined that the risk of disease transmission no longer exists.
      (3)   Employee restriction. The Health Officer may require the restriction of the employee’s duties in the food service facility such that there will be no potential for transmitting disease.
      (4)   Medical examination. The Health Officer may require the medical and laboratory examination of the employee, of other employees, as determined to be necessary.
      (5)   Education. The Health Officer may require additional foodborne illness prevention education for the food service facility staff.
