(A) The Public Works and Transportation Committee, upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, may terminate particular Adopt-A-Highway Program Agreements then in effect if a group does not meet the terms and conditions of its agreement, or if the group’s involvement in the Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Program is inconsistent with any other restrictions or limitations established by this subchapter. The termination order shall be in writing to the group coordinator mailed to the address of record.
(B) (1) The County Engineer may terminate, or suspend, a particular Adopt-A-highway Program Agreement then in effect when the litter collection provided for therein would unduly conflict with highway construction, highway maintenance or utility construction or utility maintenance on the adopted section.
(2) The termination or suspension order shall be in writing to the group coordinator mailed to the address as shown on the application form for participation.
(3) In the event of a suspension the County Engineer may specify the length of the duration of the suspension.
