(A) Title. This subchapter shall be known as and may be referred to as the “Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Ordinance” or “this chapter”, and the program it establishes may be referred to as the “Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Program”.
(B) Purpose. The Lake County Adopt-A- Highway Ordinance establishes a program that allows private citizens to support the Lake County Division of Transportation’s anti-litter efforts by allowing groups to adopt a section of county highway for the purpose of litter collection. The following sections set forth the uniform guidelines and requirements for the administration of the Lake County Adopt-A-Highway Program.
