7-5-7: DENIAL OF SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT:
A.   Upon the Village Administrator's denial of an application for a special event permit, the Village Administrator shall forward notification thereof to the applicant.
B.   Any person aggrieved by a decision of the Village Administrator shall have the right to appeal that decision to the Village Board, provided that such appeal is in writing and is filed with the Village Clerk within ten (10) days of the applicant's receipt of the notification of denial by the Village Administrator.
C.   The Village Board shall set a time and place for a hearing on such appeal and notice of such hearing shall be given in writing to the appellant by mail. The appellant shall have the right to be represented at such hearing by counsel. At a hearing conducted under this subsection all interested persons, including the applicant, community residents and representatives of community groups, shall be given an opportunity to be heard. The Village Board shall also accept any relevant written testimony or documentation regarding the proposed special event. The decision and order of the Village Board on such appeal shall be final and conclusive. (Ord. 2020-14, 8-10-2020)
