A. General Penalty. Any person, firm, corporation, or entity which violates any of the provisions of this Title or other applicable codes or ordinances of the Village, or who disobeys, omits, neglects, or refuses to comply with, or who resists the enforcement of, any of the provisions of this Title, applicable Village codes and ordinances, the approved plans and documents of the building permit, an order of the Building Commissioner issued under this Title, or any certificate or other permit issued under the provisions of this Title, shall be guilty of an offense and punished by a fine of not less than $150.00 or more than $750.00 for each provision of this Title violated. Each day on which such violation continues shall be considered a separate offense.
B. Special Penalty For No Permit. In addition to every other penalty provided by law, any person, firm, corporation, or entity that undertakes any work for which a permit is required by this Title without first having secured a permit authorizing such work will be fined a sum of money at least equal to two times the full amount of the building or other permit for such work, exclusive of any reductions or waiver in fees that may be otherwise applicable. Such fine is in addition to the required fee.
C. Stop Work Orders. Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable for a fine of not less than $150.00 or more than $750.00 for each offense payable to the Village.
