7-1-17: RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED ACTS AND CONDITIONS:
A.   Encroachments: It shall be unlawful to erect or maintain any building or structure which encroaches upon any public street or property.
B.   Poles; Wires: It shall be unlawful to erect or maintain any poles or wires on or over any public street, alley or other public way without having first secured permission from the board of trustees.
C.   Gasoline Pumps, Tanks: It shall be unlawful to erect, install or maintain any gasoline or oil storage tank in any public street or alley.
D.   Games: It shall be unlawful to play any games upon any street, alley or sidewalk where such games cause unnecessary noise or interfere with traffic or pedestrians.
E.   Awnings: All awnings hereafter erected shall be in compliance with subsection 10-10-14B1 of this code.
F.   Driving On Sidewalks: No person shall lead, drive or cause to go or be driven or led, any horse, wagon, cart, motorized vehicle of any nature, motorcycle, automobile, motor truck or other vehicle upon or across any public sidewalk except at a permanent driveway unless it be at a temporary crossing to go into a yard or lot where no other crossing or means of access is provided, in which case, adequate protection to said sidewalk shall be provided.
G.   Skateboard Use Regulated: No person shall ride or use a skateboard on: 1) the public sidewalks on either side of East Scranton Avenue from Sheridan Road to Evanston Avenue, on either side of East Center Avenue from the village hall to East Scranton Avenue, and on either side of Oak Avenue from East Scranton Avenue to East Center Avenue; or 2) the property currently utilized as the village railroad station; provided, however, that skateboard use shall not be prohibited on the bicycle path that runs through and along the railroad station property. For the purposes of this Section, a "skateboard" shall be defined to be a device with two (2) or more tandem axles and a combination of wheels connected by a platform designed for standing and which is propelled by human power.
