7-1-7: OWNER, OCCUPANT DUTY TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS:
A.   Compliance With Order: Whenever the owner or occupant of any lot in the village shall be notified by order of the village administrator to install, raise, lower, repair or relay any sidewalk in front of, adjacent to, or upon any premises owned or occupied by him, it shall be the duty of such owner or occupant to cause the said improvement to be made, in the manner and within the time prescribed by such order. B.   Penalty: If any such owner or occupant shall neglect or refuse to comply with any such requirement, he shall be subject to a penalty of not less than five dollars ($5.00) nor more than the maximum provided in section 1-4-1 of this code for each day's neglect.
