6-2-4: STICKERS REQUIRED:
A.   Issuance Of Sticker; Display Required: Upon the issuance of said license, the village clerk shall deliver to the applicant a sticker bearing the name of the village and the number and name of the class to which said wagon or vehicle belongs and the year for which said license is issued; and it shall be the duty of such applicant to affix such sticker in a conspicuous place upon the front of such wagon or vehicle or upon the right side of a horsedrawn wagon or vehicle, or if such vehicle be an automobile of any kind, then such sticker shall be placed upon the lower right hand side of the windshield as near to the base of the same as possible; and it shall be unlawful for any person to use or cause or permit any agent or employee to use any such wagon or vehicle, although duly licensed, upon the streets, alleys or avenues of the village unless such sticker is affixed as above provided. Village vehicle plates issued for motorcycles or motor driven cycles shall be affixed to the rear license plate on the lower right hand side thereof in such a manner as not to obstruct the state of Illinois license plate. B.   Failure To Display Sticker: Any person who violates this section by failure to display a necessary vehicle sticker, or who violates any of the provisions of this chapter, and who obtains the necessary license for his motor vehicle, may pay a fine without prosecution by mailing or delivery of the sum of twenty five dollars ($25.00) by check, money order or currency to the department of police of the village. Such remittance must be accompanied by a signed plea of guilty and waiver of hearing, and must be made within five (5) village business days after receipt of notice of the violation, or after such notice is placed on the vehicle.
